JLM VU Buffer & PEAK LED kit allows for an easy neat way to turn cheap DC-type VU meters into working VU meters with PEAK LED. It is also extremely useful for buffering a real VU meter as it isolates the Total Harmonic Distortion caused by the internal rectifiers in the VU meter. The buffer will drop the output THD of most audio circuits running VU meters directly to another decimal point which is a great improvement. VU Buffer can run on any DC voltage from 9v to 36v.
We now have direct-fit PCBs for SEW ST-315,475,160 VU meters, old Sifam R22 & R32 meters used in Neve and other consoles. Also, Dixon meters are used in MCI consoles.
