This is the only chassis on the market that checked a few boxes that EVERY other manufacturer has overlooked. Firstly, a front cover! Why does no one else provide this? Aren't these 500 series things supposed to be mobile? Sure there are many with handles...but you still gotta baby that things wherever you take it so you don't bash the front panels of whatever you are taking around town. Then the handle and feet are great. Actually feels like it's meant to travel. I take my lunchbox back and forth to a studio in town to track with and I love that it's up for the challenge. It's built like a tank! Lastly, because I do take my lunchbox back and forth, I love that with the DB25 i/o I have only a few connections to make when I get home to return things back to normal in the home studio. Love mine - very well built, easy swap between rack mounted and portable with the handle. No noise, no issues powering 8x Neve type mic pres. XLRs + DB25 is also super useful. Taking it for another location recording in a few days.Matt (Fri Jan 12 2024, 14:01 pm )

I have just bought my second one! The workmanship is perfect! The customer service too! The lid idea is very nice and saves me from buying an additional case. But most of all, that this is the only 500 rack out there (as far as I know) that has d-sub AND xlr AND 8 slots, which was exactly what I was looking for! Easy one-click integration with the D-Sub in the studio, but also flexible on the road when you need to access each channel differently without a patchbay.
