JLM Large VU Meter with black bezel, full lamp box with 3.6 - 5.2v 20mA Yellow led. Run 1k 1/4 watt resistor in series with led for 12vdc.

Meter has internal diode bridge and performs perfectly to 0VU = +4dBu with series standard 3k6 resistor. 

Cut out for Bezel ( 80mm x 37mm)

Love this JLM Large VU Meter

https://youtu.be/23HzJw-8srs shows how easy it is to wire them up to simply plug into a spare headphone jack without any fancy drivers or even box. Very portable. If I must dash to an unknown studio to record piano or classical guitar in MS mode these meters are indispensable - their ballistics perfectly match more expensive meters so they move correctly to follow the sound which turns your ears UP.
