FREQ500 is a very powerful 500 module with fully variable 5 BAND + HPF active EQ. EQ that sounds natural.

We can supply this EQ as a 51X version. If you want 51X version please mention this in the comments section when checking out.

EQ circuit is a sidechain feed-forward equalizer so has an extremely low noise floor even at full boost.

All pairs ordered in one order will be stereo matched for free.

  • All 5 BANDS have 12dB boost and pull for 12dB cut.
  • Dual colour led with Green to show boost and red to show cut.
  • Each of the 5 bands has a internal jumper to change between 12dB or 6dB maximum boost/cut.
  • HIGH Shelf Frequency sweepable from 2k to 20k @ 6dB per octave. Pull frequency pot for 12dB per octave and orange led on.
  • HI MID Frequency sweepable from 2k to 20k @ BW of 2 octaves. Pull frequency pot for BW of 1 octave and orange led on.
  • MID Frequency sweepable from 400 to 4k @ BW of 2 octaves. Pull frequency pot for BW of 1 octave and orange led on.

Fantastic!!!

I have/had a lot of great EQs in my studio. Vintage API 550a, 550b, 553, Neve 1073. Pultecs...but this is my absolute favorite! The flexibility is great and the sound is focused, soft and tight at the same time. Really hard to describe and even harder to make things sound bad with it. The bass is really tight but fat, the mids are focused but pleasant and the highs are just sweet and silky with a level of control I have not experienced bevor. Can not say enough good things about it. Whether on the 2-Bus, or individual tracks...just great! Second, the build quality is really good. Ordered a matched diy pair and took me 2 days to build both of them. No problems (aside one damaged IC leg that I broke), and it worked first time. The building instruction is very easy to follow and in my opinion even better than that of AML and Soundsculptor (but they are good too).
