Prophet 5 Rev 2.0-3.0 6508 RAM chip upgrade FRAM replacement module.

Removes the 8 old 6508 1 bit x 1k rams and backup battery and updates to a single chip 8 x 1k FRAM with 150+ years memory with no backup battery needed.

Prophet 5 Rev 3.0 is Plug and Play.

Back up any presets.
Remove 8 old 6508 ram ics.
Fit FRAM replacement module.
Try storing a preset then powering off and on and recall the preset.
If all ok remove the backup battery and reload presets.

Prophet 5 Rev 2.0.

Back up any presets.
Remove 8 old 6508 ram ics.
A simple mod is sometimes needed. A track has to be cut and one link fitted as shown below.
Fit FRAM replacement module.
Try storing a preset then powering off and on and recall the preset.
If all ok remove the backup battery and reload presets.
