JLM 60Watt Power Amp - class A possible?

Post by qu4ntum »

Hiyas,

Was wondering if the jlm power amp can be configured to run class A.

i understand there is a big hit in the amount of volume you can get but was thinking of a couple bridged units per channel running class-a might be enough..

thoughts??

thanks a bunch :)

The LM3886 chip run in A/B mode. There is no volume difference between Class A and Class A/B but there is a huge temperature difference due to the Class A current draw. :D

The LM3886 has no bias adjustment so is always A/B
