Micro Passive Mixer Build Thread

Blank Micro Passive Mixer PCB

Fit 4 x resistor SIL packs so dot on side marking pin 1 goes to square solder pad. Fit them hard down to the PCB and solder & trim legs.

Fit 3 x Zero link resistors or 2 wire links between the SIL resistors. Fit them hard down to the PCB and solder & trim legs.

Slide PCB fully into D25 connector betwen the 2 rows of terminals. Solder one terminal at each end and then solder all top and bottom terminals to the PCB.

IN and OUR XLRs are wired in parallel so can be split either at the PCB or in the XLR connector.
Note: If only making a 8 to 2 mixer the IN cables and XLRs can be left off. XLR wiring RED to pin 2, White to pin 3, Sheild to pin 1

I need a simple 8 into 1. Would any additional resistance be required for tying L to R?

No extra resistors needed. Just link L+ to R+ and L- to R- and you have 8 to 1.
