I have a suspicion it’s a dodgy solder joint but didn’t want to proceed trying stuff out until I heard from you!

Hi Alex from your photos you have 3 x 470R to the 3 x 33R resistor position which is why you are getting a level drop. Change the 3 resistors to the correct value 33R will fix this.
