Stereo compact box will have a optional pre made stereo D/A card for spdif and toslink inputs.
Hi Joe,

very very nice,0dB FS would be great for me as well as SPDIF and TOSLINK inputs.Next step would be an ADAT input (for 8 mono or 4 stereo displays) as the TOSLINK is already there?

Cheers,

Udo.

Totally! a Odbfs a must! Also would be nice a vertical version, could be just an optional panel.

VU only and peak Only also cool.

When is this baby gonna be up for sale?

OdBFS in centre. Will do a 500 Series version as well.

Would it be possible to adapt this to be a stereo balance meter?, with peak and average balance simultaneously.
I really like the meters on wavelab & would love to create a hardware version

I am looking at doing a phase / Balance meter version. But I need to get more info together on which way to go with this. So all suggestions on this thread are very useful in developing this version.

Using VUPPMGR40 instead of analog VU meter in LA2A, LA3A clones and most other opto comps.

The VUPPMGR40 can have its balanced input connected direct across the output of the LA2A or LA3A clones for VUPPM output level.
Use the circuits below to interface the Gain Reduction T4B to the CV input on the VUPPMGR40. Set jumper on VUPPM PCB for 5v to 0v CV input.
A switch between SW terminal and 0v on the VUPPM PCB with switch between VUPPM output level and Gain reduction.
May also want to switch the meter to reverse direction on Gain reduction by switching that jumper as well.

Will do a similar circuit for 1176 next.

HI Udo Thanks for the nice comments on the meters :D 8)

Yes we will have a small Hammond case and scale front panel solution available on the web shop in the new year for stereo meter like shown in the photo's on the jlmaudio facebook.

And a horizontal beveled edge scale for 1 rack unit cases and a vertical 500 / 51X series fronts.

And we can do custom small runs of scales easily.

That would be great as i´m planing to integrate 2 meters in my new (big) project, kind of a combined summing amp with an inserts switching board and ms capabilities.I love the idea being able to visually monitor vu and peak in the same place :D

Best regards,

Udo.

HI Udo
Sorry I had missed this post. If you are after vertical I have some of the beveled scales used for the crookwood meters here or if you have a rough idea of what you need for your project send me a email with some sizes you would need.
