Baby Animal - 10uF Cap

Post by Paul »

Hey all,

Im building my 4th BA and this one has a slightly different PCB to the older ones I have done. This one contains a 10uf cap, whilst the older ones do not. What is this for? Cant seem to find any info on the PCBs???

It is extra smoothing for the emitter of the BD681 opamp reg when it is used to lower the voltage for opamps that cannot run on 48v. When linking over the BD681 the 10uF can be left on or off with any performance difference.
