can i hook up a couple of unbal jacks to the jlm io port (assuming i get the pinout) or does the MAC require a Dingo?

can you describe the difference between say a BA with jlm 99v and a BAD with 2x jlm 99vs. is it just a gain increase for ribbons and such or is it sonically a much different pre.
