Re: Valve Mic Pre comp kit wish list & discussion

These look so cool! I'd love to be able to use trimax transformers for I/O though I expect that's possible but off board mounted. Compwise it'd be cool to see something outside the more common options, a 175 maybe? And what about inserting a passive eq into the circuit, a baxandall or a more complex...

Re: TREX and TREX2 Transistor regulator kit

That 470r resistor was all that was needed! Which means a real thumbs up for the smoothness of your standard 3 and 5 rail power supply because I've never needed that extra resistor and lots of previous, trouble free builds.
Cheers...

Re: TREX and TREX2 Transistor regulator kit

Well finally got around to hooking up the kelso and I've a small problem. The trex powers the modules fine and they work perfect with a dynamic mic but there's a problem with phantom. I'm using the 48vdc switchmode power supply and have connected the 48v rail through a pair of 6k8 resistors with a 1...

Re: TREX and TREX2 Transistor regulator kit

Racking a neve kelso mic pre and a 3405 module. Should I use a zener or the trim build for that? M

Hi Joe,

What about a peak light? can that be added to this circuit?

Re: DINGO PCB and kit Now Available

Which form of 10k pot? log or linear and why 10k? wouldn't a greater resistance give wider volume control? Could you draw schematic for what you mean with the 1k resistors for mono?

Re: DINGO PCB and kit Now Available

Hi Joe, Wondering about using the dingo as a buffer for a buffered monitor controller. Not sure if this is the best thing for the job though. I guess what I really need is a balanced i/o buffer or preamp to drive the cables to the monitors after all the input switching, mono etc... If the dingo woul...

Re: dINgO Pup PCB and kit now available

so what is the main difference between this and the dingo? DOA of course but will it still drive an output transformer?

and where is the passive EQ circuit and where do I buy that?

Re: DINGO PCB and kit Now Available

Hi, Just wondering about creating a spring reverb unit with the dingo. I'd like to make a stereo version and I'd like to be able to switch the length and density of reverb by switching in series multiple spring units (for length) or switching them into parallel (for density). Accutronics have variab...

Re: VU BUFFER KIT BUILD THREAD

What kind of meters will this board drive? I've a range of old meters that though they wont have full vu ballistics would certainly look good and thats what I'm thinking of for a particular project. Anyway what kind of rating should the meter have?
