Re: VU2 stereo VU buffer kit Build thread

Please disregard my posts. User error. I hadn’t adjusted the pots far enough. I put a multimeter set to Mv and quickly saw that I just needed to keep turning the pots to get the readings I was looking for. Thanks again! Cool great to hear you got it working. Yes the 25 turn trim pots need lots of t...

Re: VU2 stereo VU buffer kit Build thread

Hi, I’ve just finished the assembly of the VU2 kit, Meter lights work, meters move very slightly on turn on, But, No response to input signal. I’m using balanced inputs driven for testing with a Neutrik Minirator. +4 DB gives nothing, I’ve adjusted the trim pots and still nothing. Any suggestions o...

Re: STATTEN Build Thread

Hi Cody easy one. Input for each channel is IN+ joined to L+ & R+, IN- joined to L- & R- so you have a mono input plugged into STATTEN built as Volume U pad with 10k log pot & 22R resistors. The output of this volume U pad goes to the input of STATTEN built as PAN H pad with 10k lin pot & 10k resis...

Re: STATTEN Build Thread

HI Cody I am confused as you mention balanced in as +V, 0v, -V which is actually power pins? Which will not really be used unless there are some STBUS powered pcbs. Just give me a clear idea of what you are trying to do like 8 x 2 volume pan mixer etc so I can explain the best way to do this. Joe, ...

Re: STATTEN Build Thread

Joe, I was going to email you with questions but thought perhaps it would be better to work this out with you on the forum in case others were wondering. I bought the STATTEN PCBs in hopes of building a balanced, 8-input passive mixer with volume and pan. In looking at the schematic you posted and ...

Re: Palpigrade Build Thread

Hi Peter Great to hear you found the build easy. The stripe on the end of the zener diode lines up with the white stripe on the pcb overlay. Yes it is best to mount the zeners up off the pcb as they can run a bit hot. Check the power supply is set to 36 to 37vdc before connecting. The power supply ...

Re: AUX8 Build thread

The AUX8 and SUM8 pcb is a 8 channel mono or 4 channel stereo depending on pots used with active virtual ground summing and 8 channel mono or channel aux master with inverting stage. So basically it can do 8in x 8out matrix. The pcbs are unbalanced in and out but if you use our palpigrade and tradig...

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread

Ok +20dBu is perfect. Is the noise the exactly the same in both channels?

Does the noise stop instantly when the power switch is turned off?

Can you email me internal photos and power supply photo so I can check the build over.
