VU Buffer and LED -Please help me understand

Hi
I have a project and I want to use the JLM Sew meters, buffer kit and blue led kit. My power transformer has a secondary output of 6.3vac at 2 amps.
I realise the vu buffer wants 9-30vdc and the blue led wants 12vdc.
Is there a way to provide juice for the Meter and Leds from the transformer? Do I need to make an ac to dc regulator or something?
Any help would be appreciated.
