Yes just send me a email and I will send you a copy of the schematic. The LME49720 is just better at driving longer cable runs

Driving an unbalanced load, do you leave pin 3 disconnected and the gain range shifts down by 6dB?

If pin 3 is grounded at the load (to keep the gain range the same), does it stress the inverting amp by forcing it to drive 51 ohms, or does that pressure get relieved through the gain trim somehow?

Yes leave pin 3 open as shorting it will just waste a lot of current for no reason. The opamp will current limit into the 51ohm which is fine but it will make more heat and stress on the opamp.
