Driving an unbalanced load, do you leave pin 3 disconnected and the gain range shifts down by 6dB?
If pin 3 is grounded at the load (to keep the gain range the same), does it stress the inverting amp by forcing it to drive 51 ohms, or does that pressure get relieved through the gain trim somehow?

Yes leave pin 3 open as shorting it will just waste a lot of current for no reason. I want to use it for Subwoofer duty and need a flat response at least down to 20hz.

Hi everyone,
I am intending to use 2 x regug' to convert single ended line level (from phone preamp to balanced line level for my power amp.
I have looked at this tread but cannot see any mention of what PCB pads you wire for single ended input. I have the balanced output all sorted .
Can someone offer a suggestion please? Also I am using a dual rail PS and presume you wire to V+, V- and 0V where ever convenient. If that's not the case let me know! Finally I wanted to check if there was any other resistor setting etc that I should check if I want "line level" balanced output.

Set output level trimpot to give you the balanced output level you want into your amp. Done.Finally I wanted to check if there was any other resistor setting etc that I should check if I want "line level" balanced output.

I have a quick pic attached just to confirm my understanding.
I am using an AMB dual rail power supply connected by a 3 core shielded cable. I was intending to earth the shield and connect that to the case to earth it.

Wanted to see if it's possible to run a Reurgitator off of a +48V rail...
can I simply up the x4 electrolytic caps from 25v to 35V rating and then increase the Zener size in Zd1/Zd2? Or will that also cook the chip?

You can fit 2 x 18v 1w zener diodes and add 220R in series with +V and -V to a floating 48v supply as long as it isn't being used for anything else. This will drop the 48v floating rail down to 36v and make the +/-18v needed for the NE5532A

If you had some old OPA2604A you could use a floating 48v power supply if you fitted 2 x 24v 1w zeners to make +/-24v
You cannot use a single power rail that is connected to 0v ever.

Would the NE5532a be the opamp of choice if you were to make a single +24V out circuit?
and if you were daisy chaining 4 boards together via J1+J2 would the 12v zeners on the other 3 boards be replaced by 1uf mono caps?
What would the 2x 10r need to be for that set up?
