1290 micro kit output gain

Post by little izzi »

Hi there,
I have searched high and low on this forum and the web and can't find out how to make sure that the output gain on my 1290 micro kit is set to its highest setting? The main problem I can see is that all of the schematics etc show the kit with an 'output push/pull trim pot' (which I don't have) yet I'm not sure wether this is meant to be brought along with the micro kit or not? And if not then how can I set the preamp to its highest gain without it?
Hope someone can help?
Thanks
izzi

I've since got in contact with Joe Malone and found out that without the trim pot you can simply bridge the in and out terminals which would usually go to the trim pot. I did think of this but was unsure if I would need a certain amount of resistance in there but for full output gain this is not the case...

Thanks for all the help Joe
