Hi guys,
I have a Go between that's popping when 48v is enabled/disabled; the phase/pad pop when the 48v is activated too. The popping seems to gradually decrease after time at the pad/phase when repeatedly switched. Is this a short? Bad cap?
Also, on the channels that do work ok...i have 48v at the mic input, but i also have 48v at the input transformer primary?
Is this normal?
Thanks

Hi guys,
Found the problem with the popping. A very fine piece of copper strand on the backside. Removed, tested good.
Still wondering about the 48v at the input transformer primary?

Re: Go between troubleshooting - phantom
When phantom is switched on the primary will also float at 48v as the path from the XLR pin 2 & 3 to the primary is directly connected. This is normaldesol wrote:Hi guys,
