Once again - Joe to the rescue.
So essentially what you're saying here is that with the 4A or 6A Bridge, the limiting factor becomes the current capacity of the regulators?

Re: AC/DC & POWERSTATION KIT BUILD THREAD

A happy customer about 3 years later. After reading my responses from building this a few years ago, I realized that I never properly thanked Joe for walking me through the mess I got myself into. Moral of the story - read the instructions and look at the pictures twice before mounting anything. I t...

Re: AC/DC & POWERSTATION KIT BUILD THREAD

UPDATE: I finally got this thing off my board, though it required precision use of a Dremel grinding wheel. I was able to remove 3/4 pins after first removing 6 big caps. After 3/4 were removed, the final was easy to pull through. Unfortunately, the tabs on the sides of the rectifier stop my remaini...

Just use a solder sucker tool and unsolder the 4 legs of 6A bridge and turn it around and solder it back in as it will be fine. I've been at this for about an hour now, and I've realized that since the legs of the rectifier fit quite snugly into the PCB my solder sucker is unable to get all the sol...

Re: AC/DC & POWERSTATION KIT BUILD THREAD

Joe, Thanks for the quick reply. My mistake about the 30v-0v-30v, it will absolutely not give me that. its getting late here in the states and my brain is getting fried. I'm going to exchange the transformer. Your spec for the 51x rack is for one holding 11 units, but I'm building a slightly smaller...

Re: AC/DC & POWERSTATION KIT BUILD THREAD

Hey Joe, First and foremost, thanks for putting together an awesome kit. I have a transformer question. I've never used a dual secondary transformer before, so pardon me if I am asking a total newbie question. My transformer Triad Magnetics VPT30-3330 (data sheet below) has dual primaries and second...
