Re: DINGO PCB and kit Now Available

I would like to build a Pultec'ish EQ with the DINGO, using my own filter circuit and have some questions: For debalancing / input impedance matching I would like to use the Hybrid or 99V opamp. Does the first opamp contribute noticably to the sound as it has gain = 1? For gain makeup, is it possibl...

Re: Questions on OP:s for Baby Animal

ok, thanks for the info, I was wondering why some would open (like the dual BA pdf) and others would not. But Acrobat Reader opens them all. It is a shame that people are misusing your schematics, btw. your PCB layouts are a work of art, keep up the great work!!

Re: Questions on OP:s for Baby Animal

sorry for hijacking, but Joe would it be possible that you put the PDF's for the Baby Animal circuit diagram back online, the PDF's on the following links are not showing up (Safari webbrowser on Macintosh): http://www.jlmaudio.com/Baby%20Animal%20Mic%20Pre%20PCB%20Full%20Circuit.pdf http://www.jlma...

Re: quick Q - FET DI hookup?

thanks, that clears it up! The preamp has a "mute output" switch, so I'll probably leave it as is and pass the phantom power through the DI.

Re: quick Q - FET DI hookup?

another short question - I am hooking this up in front of a preamp, will the FET DI have a problem with phantom power appearing at its output? And will it pass the 48V through to a mic connected to the input posts?

thanks, Marten

FET DI QUESTIONS

is there any pic of the "naked" pcb or a wiring hookup? I installed the wiring posts and did not take notes on the connection scheme  I find myself going to the "old website" for this kind of info, but nothing there unfortunately, Joe could you be of help? Thanks and best regards, Marten

great to see that this kit is available!! A few quick questions:

How much VA would a single PSU trafo need to have for a stereo version of this Power Amp?

Is the PSU filtering onboard, trafo / diode bridge offboard?

Will the IC need a heatsink (or be bolted to the case)?

thanks, Marten

again  my bad, nothing was broken, I just had the trimpots turned fully clockwise, which gives maximum voltage - from there you have to give it a couple of turns counterclockwise before the regulator starts bringing the voltage down. Now got +/- 15V and 48V and everything is perfect. http://ho...

JLM AC/DC troubleshooting

ok, I need a little help troubleshooting my busted AC/DC powersupply. By stupid mistake I messed up the power transformer wiring and some caps went poof  Now that the caps are replaced the 48V section is fully functional, but the voltages at the V+ and V- just sit there at unregulated DC volta...
