Re: Problem with Go Between
If you have 0v wired to all XLR pin 1 and 0v on the power supply it would be impossible to measure 48v on the shields and 0v of course. What are you actually using as 0v ground to do your measurements from? Apologies, I should have said that the shields are floating at the moment. I was connecting ...

Problem with Go Between
I own a JLM Go Between and a FET DI, but I'm having a problem with it at the moment. It seems that everything that's plugged into the Go Between board has phantom power on it, whether the phantom power switch is engaged or not. I measure in on the + and - on both the inputs and outputs of the board,...

Re: Phantom power sag when Go-Between is plugged in
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your reply but I have just this second solved the issue! It turns out I had wired the power transformer incorrectly.
I'm using a power supply PCB that 'ruffrecords' produces over on the Group DIY forum.
Thanks,
Matt

Phantom power sag when Go-Between is plugged in
I'm adding a JLM Go-Between to my DIY pre amp. I'm using this transformer to power the power supply. It's a 15VA 0-25 0-25 toroid which gives me 50Vac when wired in series. 50 / 15 = 100mA, which I think is well within spec for phantom power. Without the Go-Between hooked up to the power supply, pow...

Re: Powering go between & FET DI
Hi Joe -another quick question: Because I'm going for a vintage look on my REDD 47 build, I would prefer to use lamps instead of LEDs on the front panel to indicate phantom power. I'm going to power it using the 6.3vac tap on the Hammond PT. My first thought was to use a 3pdt toggle switch for the p...

Re: Powering go between & FET DI
Brilliant - thanks for the info!
One more question: What type of switches are used on the Go Between? I want to use slightly bigger ones and space them out a bit, and use wires to connect them to the PCB.
Thanks!

Powering go between & FET DI
I'm planning on building a REDD 47 point to point, but I also want to add a JLM go between kit as well as a FET DI. I'm a bit stuck when it comes to supplying power to the the JLM PCBs. At the moment I'm thinking of adding another transformer into the case and using a JLM AC/DC kit to power the go b...
