Re: BA High pass filter??

Hi!

I built a BA several years ago and have had some really good recordings made with it.

Now, I would like to exchange either the phase shift or the pad for a 70-75 Hz high pass filter. Unfortunately, the link above has expired. Is there a way to access this answer?

Best,
Jon

Re: Questions on OP:s for Baby Animal

Thank you so much for your advice!

This too is working beautifully.

Re: Questions on OP:s for Baby Animal

Thanks for the info! The OP:s are Burr Brown OPA627s. It seems that they are Unity Gain stable, so perhaps I would be fine. I misread the specs. Actually the OP can take +-18v supply voltage so I suppose a 33v zener will be the best choice? I would be great if you foresee any trouble using these. Al...

Questions on OP:s for Baby Animal

Hi! My BA is working wonderfully. But as always I'm curious to try knew things. I've built a little card that fits two single OP:s and connects the pins to the dual OP socket. The OP:s that I would like to try runs at a maximum of 32v. I've installed the regulator and I use 30v zener diodes. My ques...

Re: Hybrid Op build questions

Hi! Just wanted to tell something glad and interesting. First of all I understand now why I got 16 ohms over the 10k resistor on the + side. It was the output trafo of course. Sorry I didn't see that. Now to the glad news. I watched the Hybrid some more. I measured the current over the 10R resistor ...

Re: Hybrid Op build questions

Hi again! Thanks for the interesting info about the Hybrid! And thanks for the new tips! Unfortunately I've already trashed my 2M2 resistors. Better luck next time :-). Anyway, I'm learning a lot on the road. I got it to work, but are still experiencing some problems. And I have some clues that I wa...

Re: Hybrid Op build questions

Hi again, I had no idea that the 2M2 resistors should be left out. I will take those out, exchange the transistors and just to be on the safe side exchange the 10Rs as well. This will probably get me going again. By the way, the flash was only seen when the Hybrid was mounted, not otherwise (And as ...

Re: Hybrid Op build questions

Hi Chris! Thanks a lot for your answer. I tried both modes, and got both A and AB to work before the crash. DC servo was off. One little strange thing was that the first LED never worked, even though it was correctly mounted. The second led during the first tests only lit for half a second, every ti...

Hybrid Op build questions

Hi Joe or anyone more experienced than me! I just bought a Hybrid op and an output transformer from JLM (very happy with my BA). I somehow blew the BD140 transistor and have to buy a new. Is there any recommendation on brand? What about the -10 and -16 or G mark after BD140, which should I choose? I...

Re: BA newbie's questions 2009

Hi again! My, apologies. I missed that there were two more pages with forums. Should have posted my questions above in the BA wiring forum. Hopefully I will be excused as a newbie :-) Too late to move it, but I'm still wondering about these issues (however, now with my newly acquired knowledge that ...

Re: BA newbie's questions 2009

Hi! I am building my first BA so I thought this was the perfect headline for my question. I bought a shielded 3-wire cable (with 0.23 mm^2 area per wire) for the output XLR jack and a shielded 2-wire cable (with 0.36 mm^2 area per wire) for the input XLR. Now I got a bit concerned that the area migh...
