Well, this is embarrassing.

I spent days tearing this little sucker apart trying to figure out why it was suddenly, after months of reliable operation, giving me problems. Turns out that my patch bay was going bad instead and that the Baby Animals are just fine. D'oh!

I have four channels of Baby Animal mic pres. Recently, I've noticed that with phantom power on, all of the channels will slowly build up a scratchiness that will get louder until there is a moderately loud pop, then they will be quite for a few minutes before repeating the process.
