I have a slight issue with the TB amp.
I'm getting a loud pop when turning the TB on and off.
Is there a way to eliminate this?
Could it be DC on the relay contacts?

Re: 8 Channel Relay Switch Build Thread
Thanks Joe,
successfully installed my box in studio yesterday.
After a few balanced to unbalanced wiring cock ups it works a treat!
I'd read the IDC connector pin out as 1 = Shield 2 =Hot 3 =Cold 3 etc.. But it's 1 = Shield 2=COLD 3=hot so the unbalanced console SND and RTNs didn't work..

Re: 8 Channel Relay Switch Build Thread
Sorry, i'm confused about the regulator too.. So i'm using 9 relay boards hence 74 x 12VDC relays. I'll use a 24VDC PSU. So does the 7812 regulator will drop the voltage for the whole circuit or just for the ULN2803?? According to the schematic it does but what you said early in this thread has conf...

Re: 8 Channel Relay Switch Build Thread
Hi,
just ordered a bunch of these boards for a tape machine switch over box.
What is the relay footprint for the PCB?
5.0mm pin spacing? 7.26mm wide?
thanks

Re: Talkback Comp Build Thread
I'm sorry Joe, i ment to update my post... Mic worked fine using the standard (2 x 6k8) supply as on the pcb. It's an Astrada conference mic 952.353UK (just the gooseneck mic part) All working nicely on our Calrec. I added a 1k Log pot across the output for volume and a cheap OEP a262a2e transformer...

Re: Talkback Comp Build Thread
So i couldn't find a high brightness LED that would work so i made a little TL072 buffer circuit to drive an GR LED. Works well. Next question.. How would i go about powering an Electret (TB) mic with this circuit? Can i just remove one of the 6K8 resistors and put a 9V zener across the PP to ON jum...

Re: VU BUFFER & PEAK LED KIT BUILD THREAD
If i want to sum a balanced stereo signal to mono for inputing to the one of these boards, what's the best way?
This would hang off the mix bus so wouldn't want it to affect signal.
Do i need to add a buffer?
Is the circuit attached overkill? thanks

Re: Talkback Comp Build Thread
Is there anyway to add very simple GR metering on this? Doesn't need to be accurate. I've VU buffer pcb's handy if that simplify things?
thanks
