That's for sure.
Thanks again Joe.

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
Hi Joe, Can the DI or it's ribbon cable have something to do with it? I looked at the ribbon and it seems kind of tight in there between the VTX and the back of the DI pcb... There seamed to be a tiny tiny hole pierced in the ribbon by the slightly protruding capacitor legs at the back of the DI pcb...

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
Hi Joe,
You're right it's not quite a short. (I was checking with continuity setting on my meter, with a "beep")
I have 15R accross tranny primary and 30R accross XLR pins 2 and 3...

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your response.
The 51R next to output pin of 99V is looking burnt(brownish tint) but still measures 51ohm(in circuit).
I also noticed that +OUT an 0V on the BA are shorted... That seems wrong to me, wright?

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
Hi, I have a BA2 "everything kit" with 99V and VTX trany. It worked fine for the first few weeks and then one channel stopped working and fried the 99V. (I thought the problem was caused by a faulty power supply at first). The 99V was replaced and it worked for about a year. Now, it seems to have do...

OK Joe,
I'll just make sure the right power supply goes with the right mic pre.
Thanks again.

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
OK   That explains it all. I had'nt seen the "Notes & Errata" about this since I build these BAs(&BAD) before this issue showed-up on the forum. They had all behaved correctly until I inadvertantly swithched the supplies... I'll perform the mod to all my BAs. I think the "soft start" opti...

Re: BA BA2 BA4 BAD Dual99v Build Thread
Hi Joe, A while back I build a BAD (with a pair of JH99C and Lundahl 1538) that has worked great until recently. When I power it up it goes into a cycle of "power LED lights up and slowly ramps down" (sawtooth like)at a frequency of about once a second. If I pull the +48v feed off the BA and re-ins...

Re: BAN Build Thread
Excellent Joe! - Can you (or anyone) offer up any thoughts as to what differences to expect with the use of different opamps and transistors? (Is that a MAT02 I see in the webshop picture?) - Do you have schematics and a wireing overlay PDF available yet for the BAN? - Do you offer the listed altern...

Re: MAC - Micro Auto Compressor
Joe. You scallywag! Just when I was satarting to think that you had left the audio thing behind and run away to join the circus, you come up with this new "web shop". :o I must say this new site is smokin!! - Curency conversion "on the fly" as well as multiligual! Let alone the fabulous audio stuff....

LED VU meter - anyone interested?
Hi All, I asked Joe about a LED VU and here is what he said he's been working on. Looks pretty good to me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRInk7jwQmk From Joe: "Our 40 LED meter that shows RED PPM with peak hold and Green VU with peak hold. It uses 4 x 10 tricolour led blocks. Large but cheap PIC wi...
