Re: headphone amp?

i was thinking headphone amps the other day too, stumbled across this one, seems very highly regarded: http://www.amb.org/audio/ck2/ http://www.amb.org/audio/ck2/ck2_assy.jpg there is a long thread on headwize.com - but the server is temporarily offline... i believe the designer(s) are forum members...

agreed... i've always used a separate jack myself. i really like the quality of the cliff brand ones. you can get them insulated with the chrome nut and they look quite spiffy. i think i just drilled a 3mm hole in the pcb and mounted it to the case. wired the jack with a little bit of shielded cable...

i imagine CL for an unknown transformer can only be determined by testing - there's some info over at prodigy-pro on a method of finding the flattest load for transformers.. it might be a jensen doc? or maybe something from cinemag.. i can't remember really. but if you look around there should be so...

mmm that is a odd collection of transformers! any brand names, models or photos you can provide? are those DC resistance measurements? are the input transformers in some kind of shielding cans? if not you might have some problems with noise pickup and or oscillation i think... i'd say try running NO...

PM2000 solo mod question

i was wondering if the solo mod disabled the normal (stock) routing of audio to the cue bus? i was thinking perhaps you could put a master switch on the relay (and lamp?) power bus and disable the solo in place for tracking situations - still use the solo in the original way. i.e. when tracking, if ...

you are right... i opened it in GIMP and it was all there!

i guess the "preview" (the simple viewer) in Mac Os 10.4 doesn't read your latest pdf type! i always use preview to read your pdfs so i assumed it must have been a dud.

NICE! did you engrave that in-house joe? i seem to remember matt saying something about you getting a milling machine... CNC? engraving does look very sweet - often looks better than screen printing, in my opinion... BTW are you still going to do the the half-rack cases? that would be very nice... h...
