Re: Go Between and Go Between Plus kit BUILD THREAD
I have a separate power supply to supply +48V to the Go Betweens. Do i need to run a 0V wire back to that power supply ? Or will it find ground through the xlr ground pin to the mic preamp and its ground ?

Re: AMP HEAD Build Thread
I ordered the parts and built this pcb. Its not working. Sounds like a 8 bit motocycle reving up on the headphones when it powers up. Signal does not pass through. When i unplug power I can hear a distorted signal for a second before power dyes off. Confirmed that it is getting +16V 0V and -16 using...

Re: JLM 60Watt Power AMP Kit
Ok great. Thanks for the info Joe ! I dug up these wall warts from my junk pile. Input 120V AC 60Hz - Output 12V AC 1000mA Input 110/117VAC 15W - Output 16V AC 500mA Input 100-240V 50/60Hz max 700mA 50VA - Output 12V DC switching 2A What would be the best choice ? the DC switching supply is DC alrea...

Re: JLM 60Watt Power AMP Kit
what size transformer can i get away with bare minimum ? Thinking i might just use this for a bench / test tone speaker.... and listening to tunes while soldering. Also specs on a woofer/tweeter on the cheap ? I'll upgrade it down the road

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
I got everything balanced and got rid of the ground hum between my vintage mixer, passive speaker switcher and three sets of monitors. Now I just have to play around with op amps and see what I like best. Sounds great, good stuff !

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
ok so I see signal at the transformer +P +S jumper but not at the balanced out ? I guess the relay is stopping it ? I'll desolder it and jump them

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
Hey Joe,
One more question. I'm somewhat concerned about the electrolytics in the audio path. Do you think they negatively affect the sound ? can they be removed or replaced with film ? C1, C2, C5 and C12, C13

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
Those 2520 are dead as well After probing around it seems pin 4 is -16V and pin 7 is out. I probably should have jumpered pin 1 out to pin 3 ?

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
burnt two dingos, r24 and r23 on both. Two different 2520. Voltages were good +16VDC on +V1 and -16VDC on -V1 from the powerstation. These were the two that i jumpered IC2 dip pin 4 to 7. At first I had both dingos powered up and I noticed -V1 was only 1.5 Volts. So I disconnected and tested the pow...

Re: DINGO PCB and kit BUILD THREAD
And on the same note. Daisy chaining the 48+ 0V in to 8 go betweens will be ok ?
