Thanks Joe - we got them working at last, here's a pic of the results!
Added a pair of P&G faders (on the outputs) from an old neve console too.

Re: 1272 to 1290 module help
Hi Joe
I mailed you these pics, just adding them here too. Hopefully they can help with the diagnosis!
There appears to be 24v DC over red and black.

1272 to 1290 module help
Hi I recently purchased a couple of 1272 to 1290 module kits to use with my 1271s that had been converted to 1272. Got everything up and working with one problem - everything works fine until the gain knob gets to position 8 (8th clockwise click), after which the preamp produces a loud whining/hummi...

Go between power question
I am looking at adding phantom power to a pair of Siemens v72 modules and was thinking of buying the go-between kits. I'd like to know if JLM has a small power supply kit for the go-between or what you'd recommend regarding powering the go-between, since the v72 has a built in psu that only requires...

Again, thanks for the clarification Joe.
Could you post another link to that PDF? It seems to just be one page that says "pdf" ?

Re: Advice on parts for Neve 1271
Makes me wonder exactly what mod was done to these modules, they also have 2 gainstages, accessible by pushing the volume pot in.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Advice on parts for Neve 1271
Hi Joe Thanks for the information. The modules have already had the 1272 conversion and I find the gain is more than enough for use with a modern LDC or even dynamic mic. Are there any other benefits of the 1290 conversion besides the extra gain? Will be ordering the requisite parts shortly. Thanks ...

Advice on parts for Neve 1271
Hi, I sent this question through to sales and didn't get a response, so maybe this is the more appropriate "forum" I have 4 neve 1271 with the BA183AM cards populated and a gain pot for use as a mic pre. They are not racked and I'm in need of some advice regarding what parts I will need to get them ...
