Re: ADM 1540 EQ MOD INPUT to BALANCED IN
I think i worked it out by myself. There's a huge pad on the input, 40db. It's extremely hard to read from the schematics. What i ended up doing is this. A new pad in front of the input transformer (Lundahl LL2603 1:1) thats attenuating 25dB.The secondary of the 2603 is terminated via 2k plus 1,6nf ...

Re: ADM 1540 EQ MOD INPUT to BALANCED IN
Oooold thread this but im hoping someone is listening in. I have three of these and have installed the output transformers, Lundahl LL1527 wired 1:1. I have lots of lundahl line isolation transformers LL2603 that i was hoping to put to use as an input transformer for these. I have tried to put them ...

Re: LA500 opto comp leveling amp BUILD THREAD 500/51X
Hi,
If you were to try and fit an original T4B module in here, where would it go? I just replaced a drip t4b for a kenetek in a diy LA2a and it made such a huge difference. Im not saying the la500 sounds bat the way it is, i love mine, but would be fun to hear the difference.

Re: dINgO Pup kit BUILD THREAD
Alright Thanks! / Emil Ok cool. I'll use the -V terminal as OV from the 12v supply then right? And leave OV on the dingo pup unconnected? Thanks joe! If 12v supply is regulated and floating like a plug pack output and not used by any other circuit and can be used as +/-6v it would work with most opa...

Is the 1k now back to 1k? How many more dB do you think you need? Was the desk out unbalanced ?[/quote]
Yes the 1k is back and the outputs are balanced. 5-10db more should probably do it.

Re: AMP HEAD Build Thread
It just struck me that maybe I'm not getting enough level out to the mixers? Ill try to crank that up and get back to you but please run the simulation if possible. I think that it's actually a recommendation to replace the gain setting R with 100r when using the AMP Head with a passive mixer in fr...

Re: AMP HEAD Build Thread
Hi Joe, This is a drawing i got from a fellow forum member. I know you've been in contact with him as well. My mixer has two stereo inputs and 5 mono inputs. The mono inputs has a L-C-R an switch but thats totally passive and doesn't load anything. Electronically identical to the stereo inputs in th...

Re: AMP HEAD Build Thread
Hi, My intern is troubleshooting my que mix system built with the amp head. I've always had noise in them but figured it was caused by bad wiring. The noise is however there even if it is only connected PSU and Headphones. The psu is a JLM powerstation +/- 18v. Op is NE5532. They are quiet when usin...

Re: INX5 BUILD THREAD
Hi I'm considering the inx5 as the backbone of a basic channel strip for an upgrade to my console. It's a vintage API 2488 and the original 24 input tape monitor mixer is ripped out. The original tape returns are not really anything worth reproducing and a lot of the functions are not really needed...

Re: INX5 BUILD THREAD
The Harrison ford filters are balanced in/out via "INA" dip8 amps. In/out, insert send/ret will be balanced. The fader will be set to +12 db at maximum, just like the original API modules. Also I won't be using a slide fader. Just potentiometers.
