Hey
joe, its ben whincop. I a-b'd the monitors with the 3 way genelecs at
uni. You'd be very interested to hear the difference! Your top end is
heaps nicer and the bottom is much more defined... The genelecs are
really fluffy compared to yours in the low end! Anyway, thought you'd
be interested... And besides, i wanted to test out my new phone and its
emailing capabilities. Talk to you soon.

Joe "wow f*#king wee!"
We are
impressed!!!!!!!!!! BAM BAM BAM they sound great.
How long do we have
to wait for a pair of BAM1s?
We listened to a
few songs (15mins max) comparing the Dynaudio BM6a's to the
BAM1s and its obvious that the BM6a pair sound like smothered
smoggy unclear boredom.
Our mixes through
the Dyn's have a serious lacking lower mid range. We could hear
the Dyn's make it sound like it is actually there but when we
played it through the BAM1s it was thin "no lower mid meat". We
also played BonJovi's remix of Wanted Dead Or Alive (something
we keep on the computer for mix analysis) it was amazing how
much detail, depth, clarity and stereo placement on EVERYTHING
we could hear. The EQ on guitars, vocals, drums etc was easy to
hear and tell what was actually going on in the mix. The punch
in the mix was also very present. This seams like it would make
it easy to keep a check on the more punchy dynamics of a
mix. The BAM1s appear to put the sound "in the air" in front of
the speaker giving it more shape and dimension which shows us
the EQ and pan placement a lot more accurate. We even heard
reverb on the harmonies that we didn't on the Dyn's.
Thanks
Bart & Jody
