JLM 4136 Converter Socket   

Features

  1. This socket once fitted to equipment that used 4136 quad opamps allows modern quad package & dual package opamps to be used instead. The original 4136 can be refitted to the centre position. A modern quad opamp with the same pinout as a TL074, LM837 can be fitted to the left side. Or two dual package opamps with the same pinout as a NE5532A, LM833, OPA2604AP can be fitted to the right side.
  2. This Socket is especially useful for replacing 4136 opamps in UREI LA4 Compressors as it allows the 4136 to be refitted at any time to return the unit to standard or for comparison of different opamp type sounds.
  3. PCB is double sided with solder mask and measures 15.24mm (0.6inch) wide x 20.32 (0.8inch) high. To fit socket there needs to be 2.5mm (0.1inch) of space around the left, right and bottom of the IC. Or at least components lower than 8mm (0.32inch) in this area as the socket has strong long pins that allow it to be mounted this high above the PCB if needed.
